AGRILORA

AGRILORA system will the first Ultra-Long-Range network and Ultra-Low-Power end-node hardware platform to be purpose-build and optimised for Smart Agriculture. The overall system innovation lays in the design, deployment and validation of a number of subsystems, based on battery-less or battery powered end-nodes, through applied research and development. Novel methods to establish and sustain ultra- long-range low-power wide area network (LoRaWAN), in open fields or in uneven mountainous terrain, will be examined using drones. The drones could carry a gateway and/or an energy transmitter either to wireless charge or to wake-up end-nodes on demand.
The project is co-funded by the Republic of Cyprus and European Union via Research and Innovation Foundation’s project number ENTERPRISES/0521/0068
