Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled engineer to join our team with a passion and talent to work on exciting electronics and industrial automation projects. Projects will range from integration and proof-of-concepts to advanced European research and innovation projects in fields such as Water and Food Quality Monitoring, Smart Agriculture and Sensors.

CyRIC’s Electronics and Networks (ECN) Department currently coordinates and participates in several HORIZON/H2020 and RIF projects (GRACED, CODE-REFARM, BROMEDIR, ENVIROMED, URBANE, SynAir-G, WARP). With an extensive network of top European and local Universities and Companies, we stay at the forefront of cutting-edge innovations and have the opportunity to work and innovate with the latest Photonics and Instrumentation technologies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• MSc/Meng/Dipl-Ing in Electronics/Computer/Electrical or closely related Engineering/Science fields
• Experience with electronics laboratory equipment and electronic modules/boards
• Experience with electronic prototypes (Arduino, Raspberry Pi or similar) & programming languages (Python, C, C++)
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills in English
• Team player and problem-solver

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous

• Relevant working experience at an industrial or R&D/academic environment
• Experience in participation in EU and/or RIF funded projects and deliverables
• Industrial automation and control systems/protocols
• Prototyping systems with wireless communication (BT, Wi-Fi, LoRa), e.g. ESP32, nRF51/52x, XIAO
• NI instruments and LabVIEW
• Hands-on mechanical prototyping, e.g. hydraulics/microfluidics systems (valves, pumps, syringe, flowmeters), 3D designing & printing.
