Strengthening CyRIC IT Infrastructure (SCITI)
The “Strengthening CyRIC IT Infrastructure” (SCITI) project successfully enhanced CyRIC’s cybersecurity resilience, in line with the NCC-CY Cyber-Hygiene Framework. With the primary goals of meeting NCC-CY certification requirements, mitigating cybersecurity risks, and strengthening policies and user awareness, the SCITI project implemented structured and comprehensive cybersecurity improvements.
Key achievements included updating CyRIC’s security policy, implementing GDPR compliance measures, establishing a robust incident response framework, and providing targeted cybersecurity training. Technical upgrades involved updating outdated systems, deploying advanced monitoring tools, and enhancing network and physical security. These upgrades were essential in meeting the NCC-CY certification, positioning CyRIC as a leader in secure IT practices within Cyprus’s SME sector.
