RISE

RISE (Reflecting Intelligent SurfacEs for massive IoT applications) is a research and development (R&D) project funded under the DUAL USE TECHNOLOGIES programme that targets the utilization of the promising reflecting intelligent surface (RIS) technology as an enabler of efficient massive Internet of Things (IoT) networks. Specifically, recognizing the drawbacks of the various RIS implementations and RIS-assisted communication schemes, RISE aims at addressing the inefficiencies of RIS technology and focuses on demonstrating a RIS-enabled solution to the associated challenges of massive IoT technology in operational environment.
